The official IOTA Foundation blog have published exhaustive details about the phase 1 components of Chrysalis, which is deployed on the IOTA mainnet today.
IOTA tweeted: “Chrysalis (#IOTA 1.5) Phase 1 is officially live on the #mainnet! We’re thrilled to release the first set of features stemming from months of dedicated research and development.”
The Network capacity is improved to over 1000 TPS providing for improved token transfer experience with improved security and reliability. It is now easier than ever to run a node for the wallet users.
The official blog have to state that the next big milestone on the path to Coordicide is the Chrysalis Phase 2, which is slated for release later this year. Further stated that the work on Chrysalis Phase 2 began several months ago as RFC specifications. The development has already began on some of the components, like the new wallet and client libraries.
Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted: “IOTA is on the progressive front. They are done with Chrysalis Phase 1 and now towards Phase 2. They are always clear about their next best step.”
Chrysalis Phase 2 is expected to conclude the development of IOTA 1.5. Discussions about experiences about the release have started on Discord and Twitter.
The community is excited and they are looking forward to phase 2. With the IOTA network supporting more than 1000TPS, the nodes will likely sustain higher transaction volumes and more transaction intensive applications. More of applications and use cases are set to be enabled with this new throughput.
IOTA Delivering High Value Strategic Solutions
IOTA has Announced Coordicide Grant for Security Analysis. This is a new collaboration with SPRITZ Research Group at University of Padua. IOTA expressed in their tweet that they are glad to be ready for independent research to begin validating their IOTA 2.0 solution.
Yet another interesting work is on how to improve the healthcare supply chain using IOTA. This is a work by an academic team from @kh_univ, supported by the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) grant funded by the Korea government.
Lot of tech talks are organized within the community covering for topics surrounding the process of delivering high value strategic solutions with thought leaders giving their input on digital transformation based on IOT and other stuff. It just looks like there is nothing out there which compares to what this network will be able to achieve. Some of them are predicting a FOMO for IOTA.
