Rattan one of the popular shopping outlets in Venezuela are the latest retailers of the many in the list who have announce that they will start accepting payments in BTC and several other altcoins.
Rattan have struck a deal with Crypto Buyer, a crypto exchange to facilitate the transactions. Reportedly, The deal will permit Rattan Plaza shoppers to spend BTC in store using Cryptobuyer’s Cryptobuyer Pay solution. They can also use altcoins like Litecoin (LTC), Dash (DASH), Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), DAI (DAI), and Tether (USDT) to make their payments and also Cryptobuyer’s own native ERC-20-based crypto asset.
Of note, previously, CryptoBuyer finalized a deal with Excelsior Gama which open the gates for cryptocurrency payments.
Paying using cryptocurrency is not new in Venezuela. Very soon this kind of trend will spread across the world. Major retailers are offering discounts and promotions for users paying with cryptocurrency is happening and this in turn is attracting users to paying with cryptocurrency.
In this regard, Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted: “Previously Pizza Hut accepted Dash as a payment form in Venezuela and this is going to spread more. Real adoption is happening and rocking.”
