Members from the Digibyte community are beginning to post Medium articles as they feel that it is more important than ever to educate the public about what is getting worked on in the Digibyte community and about what is getting accomplished.
They feel that regular updates to the Medium will serve as a reference at any point in time and also serving as a list of things that they are looking to get addressed.
In this regard, the Digibyte Awareness Team tweeted: “In an effort to keep the Digibyte community informed of developments, global community efforts for awareness and support, monthly updates will be posted on medium. This is the first installment. Excellent job to all those working on this initiative!”
Further tweeted: “Follow our medium channel to stay informed of the developments happening in the DigiByte Project. We are committed to finding solutions to our common problems.”
In a lighter mood, Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted: “The common problem for every cryptocurrency investor whether Digibyte (DGB) or any other crypto is about how to get the price going up.”
DigiByte (DGB) Mining Algorithm Choices
The latest in the line of updates is about bringing in a developer to implement RandomX for Digibyte to replace 1 of their 5 mining algorithms. RandomX for DigiByte is expected to permit a broad distribution of mining by professionals and hobbyist home users who are mining Digibyte on their home computers.
The Digibyte Community raised 20,000 DGB for the purpose and the work is already underway.
For those who do not know, Digibyte is unique in that it permits the users to mine using 5 separate algorithms. These algorithms that support mining include “SHA-256, Skein, Groestl, Scrypt and Qubit.”
The kind of hardware the user users is used to determine which algorithm will be useful. The SHA-256 and Scrypt algorithms are mainly used by ASIC miners and are not suitable for those who are using home mining rigs. Qubit makes use of multiple types of hardware. It is best applicable for advanced users. Further, Groestl and Skein are best for GPU mining.
Those who are beginning to mine have the option of either mining solo or doing pooled mining. Pooled mining is the most famous, the rewards are shared and it is possible to make coins every single day.
