Early this month, Block.one expressed that they are excited to report that Google Cloud, a global hyperscale cloud and infrastructure provider were going to the EOS community and that they are taking steps to become an EOS network block producer. Of note, the EOS network is built on the EOSIO Blockchain protocol which is published by Block.one.
For those who do not know, Block producers are the core component of the EOS network. Google Cloud is a milestone for the network. Google Cloud’s planned participation is very important for the EOS network. Thus, proves as an excellent testimonial for the world-class performance and vibrant open-source community.
Allen Day, Developer Advocate, Google Cloud. “As organizations begin to incorporate distributed ledger technology into their infrastructures, we are committed to ensuring that the information on public blockchains are securely stored, reliably available, and can be accessed in meaningful ways.”
Google Cloud are set to leverage the best-in-class infrastructure thus taking advantage of the stability, reliability, security, and extensive global network coverage architecture facilitated by the public blockchain network like EOS.
Regarding this, Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted: “Google Cloud becoming a part of EOSIO technology makes them a part of the EOS Community. Good for both in great ways.”
To secure a position with the block producer ranks on the EOS network, Google Cloud should get selected by token holders. Also, Google Cloud will be publishing a microsite which will highlight their participation in the EOS’s network’s operation being an elected block producer.
EOSIO for Business
Daniel Larimer tweeted: “Today I reviewed early academic analysis of EOS staking pools design. It remains to be seen if academic rigor will help validate the design and boost the market confidence in the final product or if it is a futile attempt to simulate Unknowable market participants.”
One of the users who is a Web Designer stated, I would love to be able to build WordPress like sites on EOS. Imagine the plugins!! I think something like that could get a flood of people using the network.
