Popular crypto trader SalsaTekila has predicted ethereum will outperform bitcoin in the coming year.
The pseudonymous investor, who gained fame after turning a couple thousand dollars into $100,000 in crypto gains, published a tweet on December 13 highlighting the performance of ethereum.
According to the trader, he now owns an “uncomfortable amount” of ETH and says the crypto-asset is likely to outperform bitcoin in the coming year.
Salsa had previously tweeted that bitcoin was unlikely to break above $20k in the near term, predicting investors would begin converting to fiat and keeping the price from advancing.
However, he noted that bitcoin had no discernible technical resistance on the trading charts and admitted his intention to buy “every BTC dip,” barring a shift in tides.
Bitcoin went on to establish a new all-time high of $23,500 on December 17, with the price of ETH also reaching a 2020 relative price high.
