Zcash Foundation recently expressed that error handling isn’t all about errors, and how it can be confusing to lot of folks.
The Rust Conf is set to clarify error handling with Nell Shamrell Harrington as their host. The event is scheduled for August 20, 2020 and it is an online only event. The fans of Rust know that this is a yearly must event. Everywhere Rust Conf gathers developers from across the world to learn and share with each other; however, this year it is virtual.
The event is set to be full day of talks from top Rust Dev, the Discord Room for Live discussion, Digital Meetups and Breakout Sessions, Downloadable Presentation Checks, Photos from Livestream Audience along with real time feedback and quick surveys.
Zcash continue to focus on their mission of building internet payment and privacy infrastructure for public good. While they serve the users of the Zcash Protocol and blockchain, they also provide support for other applications of zero-knowledge cryptography and other approaches to private cryptocurrency.
Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted: “Zcash have stated that they will likely provide code to handle network upgrades and public insight soon. Decentralized seeders are good for full Zcash nodes that will be able to join the network even after cases of probable network attacks.”
ZCash DNS Seeders
The DNS seeders for Zcash are already live. There were only two DNS seeders for Zcash previously. One of the seeder is the one operated by ECC directly. And, the second one is operated by ZCash Core Developer and ECC employee @str4d.
To ensure memory safety, more configurability than the existing seeder, easy deployment in container-focused cloud environments, and easy maintenance and ability to augment with Z-Cash specific features in the future the foundation considered to run their own instances of this code.
The foundation have based their new seeder on the CoreDNS and therefore are able to provide for lot of flexibility for free. The plug in architecture makes it possible for them to manipulate everything from logging behavior through the binary size without having to change the main part of the code. Now, it all works with a newly written code which knows how to crawl the ZCash network.
Those who want to run their own seeder will be able to follow the instructions at coredns-zcash. They will be able to further get help from the foundation at the Foundation’s Discord Server.
